A new locker room facility, with space for officials, offices and storage, will be built at the north end of the stadium. This location allows the facility to be able to be utilized by the Football program in the fall and Baseball, Softball and Track in the spring.
All of Simmons Field, was purchased by the City of Lima for water storage purposes and we must vacate the greenhouse after the 2010 football season. Future plans call for the current locker rooms to be converted to rest-rooms and concession areas. The locker room in the new high school is not large enough to accommodate the football team and related storage. The building would then allow the football program to practice-either on the artificial turf or on a grass field at the new Lima Senior site making all the fields and teams on campus.
